Senior Data Engineer – NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR
Developing action plans and processes, in coordination with the management team, for integrating activities and optimizing department resources to meet major goals and objectives; facilitating and performing application support, problem solving, and issue resolution with internal and external resources; contributing to and reviewing recommendations for technical solutions; managing and contributing to the technical components of the RFP process; resolving issues and determining options for issue resolution and risk mitigation; defining and communicating requirements for technical environments; determining the technical scope for projects; providing technical estimates for project budget input; leading and owning engagements with software vendors; enforcing architecture, governance, security, and global process standards; coordinating compliance issue identification and remediation; collaborating with other teams on integration needs/designs; contributing to database designs; creating critical-path, high-risk, advanced technical designs; approving proof of concept efforts and reviewing results; enforcing NIKE and department architectural direction; deciding on engineering tools; allocating resources based on performance monitoring and tuning results; managing and enforcing performance thresholds and standards; reviewing and approving performance test results, recommendations, and tuning results; and overseeing the creation of test plans, test execution, and validation of test results. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
Minimum Requirements:
Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Big Data Analytics and Information Technology and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a computer-related occupation.
