Camp Fire Alaska - IT Manager

Position Logistics:

Full Time, Non-Exempt Position

Salary: $28.38 - $32.42/hour

Work will be primarily done from the Camp Fire Alaska's Main office, located 161 Klevin Street in Anchorage, AK.

Work hours will typically be 8 hour/day, Monday - Friday, between 9am -6pm. There may be occasional work hours in the evening or weekend to meet agency needs.

This position is part of the Operations Department and reports to the Director of Operations.

There are no direct supervisory responsibilities in this position.

Position Overview:

The IT Manager is responsible and accountable for Camp Fire Alaska’s technology equipment management and will work as a liaison with Camp Fire Alaska’s external IT vendor to support all employees and increase technological efficiencies.

To be successful in this position, you must have the ability to manage multiple competing priorities at once, be an innovative thinker, and a solution-oriented problem solver. The IT Manager must be highly collaborative, as you will be working closely with all agency departments. Effective, clear, and timely communication is essential in responding to staff troubleshooting requests and IT project needs. This position requires high organizational skills and the ability to create tracking systems to ensure devices are accounted for and managed in accordance with policies and procedures. Work within this position will mainly be performed in an office setting, working for extended periods in front of a computer. Occasional travel will be necessary to transport materials and supplies to any of our program locations.

The day-to-day of an IT Manager will be spent assisting all agency staff with technology support, such as accessing email accounts and helping staff navigate and learn the current apps and technology used for their roles. This position will also be responsible for developing standard operating procedures for the position, as well as for the agency, in regards to IT-related procedures. This will also include leading trainings for staff to support the learning of these systems and procedures.

Qualifications:

Three or more years of experience in IT management or working in the IT field and/or formal education within the field

Demonstrated skills in implementing strategic and systemic change and a successful history of project management in an environment of ever-changing priorities

Proficient computer skills and experience in using a variety of operating systems including Microsoft Suite
