About the Team
The VIZIO Data Lake team is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager.This role is responsible for managing large-scale, cross-functional programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and organizational strategy. Scope includes leading program planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery while promoting Agile methodologies to foster team collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Key ownership of projects for the Data Lake and Software team. Duties will include managing and oversight of ad hoc projects for other product areas as necessary.
What You Will DoProgram Management: Lead the end-to-end management of medium - large, complex programs, including scope definition, planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and delivery. Demonstrated attention to detail.Agile Leadership: Champion Agile practices, principles, and mindset across teams, helping to transition or improve the adoption of Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with leadership, product owners, and cross-functional teams to align program objectives with business needs and drive decision-making.Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues to ensure the successful delivery of program objectives. Develop mitigation strategies and escalate when necessary.Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, product management, and other departments to ensure smooth communication and integration across teams.Performance Tracking and Reporting: Use Agile metrics and program KPIs to track progress, measure success, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.Process Improvement: Continuously assess program processes, workflows, and team dynamics to recommend and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and delivery speed.
About YouExperience: 8+ years in program or project management roles, with at least 3 years in an Agile environment.Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), with hands-on experience implementing Agile practices at scale.Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage large teams, including remote and cross-functional teams.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. High degree of emotional intelligence, empathy, and levelheaded, fact-based approach to solving problems.Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.Tools: Proficiency in Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar project management platforms.Certifications (preferred/but not required): PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or other Agile certifications.
