Director of Water Resources

You will leverage your hydrology, stormwater, and regulatory compliance knowledge to guide project development and collaborate with a diverse range of clients to provide exceptional service and design sustainable solutions for water resources challenges. Not only will you champion project execution and success, but you will also play a key role in financial management, overseeing budgets, invoicing, and profitability analysis.Essential Functions:Conduct stormwater design and inspection function and oversight for the WR TeamManage stormwater design and inspection services performed by staffWrite/compile portions of WR documents in an efficient manner and in accordance with complex, transitory regulations and guidance materials.Assist in maintaining electronic project files and project databases to keep internal and external stakeholders aware of project developments.Technical review of environmental documents to ensure completeness and conformance to requirements.Conduct field visits and attend meetings to support the WR document development process.Prepare field instructions for environmental consultants to use in the fieldObjectively evaluate project options and identify short and long-term strategies to meet client goalsUtilize knowledge of local regulations, positive agency relationships, and a thorough understanding of the intricacies of ordinances at all levels of government to facilitate timely approvals and clearances as well as eliminate surprises and delaysPerform QA/QC Review of technical documents to ensure completeness and conformanceInspect facilities to monitor compliance with environmental regulationsPerform regulatory and technical research as needed to support a projectQualifications:Strong knowledge of Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and US Army Corps (USACE) water resource regulationsKnowledge of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, The Indiana Department of Transportation, West Virginia Department of Highway, Pennsylvania Department of Highway and Ohio Department of Transportation rules and regulations pertaining to the Environmental ProcessAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
