to support the development of global infrastructure and delivery of solutions that drive influence operations. This position is in
Reston, VA
and requires an
active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph .Job responsibilities include:Support and develop the networks used by organizations.Work closely with department heads and IT staff to create and implement computer networks.Create code for new or existing networks.Create instruction manuals to help employees use the network and solve common problems.Manage virtual and physical servers on a virtualization platform (VMware) with Windows Server 2008-2016, Ubuntu, CentOS, and Ubuntu operating systems.Ensure the security of the server infrastructure by implementing industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.Use a proactive approach to anticipating, mitigating, identifying, troubleshooting, and correcting hardware and software issues on servers and workstations.QualificationsActive TS/SCI with polygraphBachelors and 18 years or more experience; Masters and 16 years or more experience; PhD or JD and 13 years or more experienceAbility to maintain computer networks including mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware.Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks, such as TCP/IP installing and configuring network equipment.Ability to create firewalls and update virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected.Experience monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for all systems.Experience troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management.Ability to implement disaster recovery procedures.Knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems.Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.Ability to manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementation.Desired SkillsExperience in system administration.System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields.Demonstrated experience with Virtual Private Network (VPN) technologies like OpenVPN, Wireguard, and IPSec.Experience with virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent.Ability to script (Bash, Python, Powershell) and use automation tools.
