Swarm Aero is redefining air power, building the largest swarming UAV and most versatile swarming aircraft network in the world. The company is moving quickly to launch the first aircraft designed specifically for swarming as well as the Command & Control software to mobilize swarms of thousands of heterogenous autonomous assets and empower human operators to achieve superhuman results. The team has created and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense deals worth billions of dollars and designed and built 30+ novel aircraft, with aerospace experience from Scaled Composites, SpaceX, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic. As the Founding Systems/Cert engineer at Swarm Aero, you will create the process, modeling, analysis and testing procedures that will help us design and build a new class of aircraft. You’ll help craft our certification approach as well as implement Model-Based Systems Engineering processes to help us truly create a modern aircraft development process.WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Work with the aircraft design team, regulators and other experts to tailor a certification plan to our unique aircraft application. In conjunction with the Chief Engineer, design and implement an ARPXXX-compliant aircraft development process that’s agile and tailored to our needs as a startup.Stand up modeling and simulation tools to enable a true digital twin-aided test and certification process.Build our Systems Safety Analysis process to refine aircraft and systems design.WHAT YOU’VE DONE:
Graduated with an Engineering Degree or gained relevant experience.4+ years of experience in working with complex integrated systems.Been a part of an aircraft civil or DOD certification effort.Worked with a MBSE process.WHAT SETS YOU APART:
Experience in tailoring MIL-HDBK-516 for novel systems.Experience in creating an MBSE approach to aircraft design, build, and creating a digital twin.Development of an ARP 4754A, MIL-STD-499, IEEE 1220, or similar process to design and certify a complex system. As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and trustworthy work environment, Swarm Aero conducts a thorough screening of prospective employees.
