Position:
Senior Data ScientistJob Location:
680 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086Duties:Identify valuable data sources.Design and build automated data pipelines to collect the data to be persisted in the data lake using Spark, Scala, and Airflow.Collaborate with engineering teams to design instrumentation for new pages to be added.Generate insights for the new pages in terms of customer behavior.Design and build customer data marts specific to customer events and profiles.Construct consolidated data sets to enable easy access in terms of generating metrics and insights.Apply data science and machine learning techniques to build predictive models and machine learning algorithms to improve customer acquisition and customer experience for new Wal-Mart initiatives.Perform A/B testing to evaluate data models.Present information using data visualization techniques.Responsible for continuous collaboration with engineering and product development teams.Generate adhoc insights and reports to support business and product needs.Minimum education and experience required:
Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics (any), Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 year of experience in an analytics related field;
OR
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics (any), Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years of experience in an analytics related field.Skills required:
Experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines using one of the following: Scala, Apache Spark, or Airflow. Experience coding in SQL using Hive and Spark-SQL. Experience with real-time data analysis and visualization using Splunk. Experience with data analysis using Big Query (GCP), Python, and Excel. Experience building Machine Learning and Predictive modelling using Python. Experience developing and managing real-time data processing systems using Apache Kafka. Experience building real-time and batch pipelines using Apache Nifi. Experience utilizing Salesforce for the automation of customer relationship management (CRM) marketing targeting strategies. Experience building business metric dashboards and reports using Tableau and Looker. Experience building machine learning pipelines ensuring efficient and repeatable machine learning workflows. Experience leveraging TensorFlow and PyTorch for building and deploying machine learning models, resulting in real-time data inferencing and predictive analytics.
Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.Salary Range:
$138,911/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.Benefits:
