We are a small Family Law firm located in Seattle, WA. Our firm specializes in cases that involve high-conflict divorce, international law, custody, and complex parenting and financial issues. This role is a great opportunity for growth within our firm.We are seeking a skilled Legal Assistant to support our attorneys and paralegals in a busy practice. Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:00, with the first 90 days spent in-office for training and team building. If you're an extraordinary communicator (verbal and written), compassionate with clients, a master of organization, great at time management, and can work autonomously, then this position may be for you. If you are able to handle a high-pressure situation, enjoy overcoming obstacles, and consider yourself an expert problem solver, this may be the role for you.Responsibilities
Drafting and responding to correspondenceCommunicating with clients, opposing parties, opposing counsel, third parties, court personnelManaging a high volume of email and prioritizationScheduling, calendaring, and tracking deadlinesClient file and document managementClient intake interviewsAssisting the paralegal with preparing pleadings, discovery, and other case materialsFilingQualifications
A qualified candidate should value providing high-quality service to clients and should possess the following skills and qualifications:Two years of family law or litigation experienceMastery of professional administrative skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office ApplicationsAttention to detail and ability to produce accurate work products under strict deadlinesAbility to work independently and take initiativeCompensation
