You will need not only a breadth and depth of skill, but also excellent ability to collaborate with other laser device engineers, mechanical and software and test engineers, reliability experts and manufacturing process specialists. The R&D team consists of device designers, mask layout specialists, process experts, qualification, and RF test engineers, and will utilize the mass production foundry operations team.Key Responsibilities:850nm VCSEL Datacom chip designer for 100G applicationsDevice and Epitaxial knowledge to meet 100G with path to 200G at 850nmOptimize 850nm VCSEL designs for high speed and high reliability.Support high-speed datacom VCSEL characterization (S21, RIN, BER, PAM4, eye mask)Contribute to Design for manufacturing of VCSELs with high yields at high volumes.Key Requirements:15+ years of experience with proven success in high-speed 850nm VCSEL developmentWell-known, industrial expert in their field (e.g., patents, publications)Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes (lithography, wet/dry etch, oxidation, implantation, dielectric/metal deposition)Familiar with electronic test equipment and methodologies for VCSEL characterization (e.g., RF S-parameter testing, eye-mask testing)Proficient with VCSEL modeling softwareFamiliar with data analysis tools like Python, Excel/JMP, Minitab, DOEFamiliarity with wafer fabrication metrology and failure analysis techniquesFamiliarity with planning, design, and qualification phases of development projectsVerbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.PhD degree in EE, Semiconductors, Materials, Physics or equivalentBase Salary Range:

$103,600K-$148K (USD)Disclaimer:
