About Us:We are bringing a unique and immersive Halloween pop-up cocktail experience to the heart of San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter. With themed decor, spooky cocktails, and a lively atmosphere, this event is designed to engage and entertain guests over multiple weeks. We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Event Manager to ensure the smooth running of this thrilling experience.
Position Overview:As the Event Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the pop-up experience, ensuring all elements are running smoothly, staff are performing efficiently, and customers are having an exceptional time. You will be responsible for supervising a small team of event staff, managing ticketing, handling any on-site issues, and maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all event operations during the experience, ensuring smooth transitions and efficient workflows.
Manage ticket checking and entry process to ensure a seamless experience for guests.
Lead and motivate a small team of event staff.
Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts with customers or staff promptly and professionally.
Ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols.
Act as the primary point of contact for all on-the-ground event operations.
Provide post-event feedback and reports to the production team.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Event Manager or in a similar event supervisory role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a small team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations calmly.
Experience with ticketing systems and guest entry management.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and availability to work evenings, specifically Wednesday to Sunday, with a focus on Saturday nights.
Experience in bar or food & beverage operations is a plus.
