We’re looking for talented individuals who are committed to empowering our community by creating a safe and welcoming environment that encourages growth and support — individuals like you!The Community Concierge, Manager on Duty will support the concierge team at the local Community Hub and provide best-in-class levels of customer service and experiences. You will actively interact and engage with community members, provide solutions and offerings, and support them in discovering opportunities at the YMCA.Pay range is $16.20-$18.00 per hour and opportunities to grow within the organization.Our staff is the Y's greatest asset.
Our teams provide valuable skills, knowledge, and passion that is essential to the contribution and positive impact in our communities, which is why we offer Y employees numerous perks and benefits, including:Do meaningful work and contribute to the advancement of the YMCA vision by meeting the needs of the people in our communities.Complimentary Family YMCA membership and an employee discount on select programs.Career advancement opportunities - grow your career at the Y!Scope and ResponsibilityServe as Manager on Duty and provide operational leadership, including front-desk operations, attendance, and administration.Greet community members and guests and make them feel welcome and engaged.Monitor Community Hub for safety and service interventions and serve as first responder for emergency situations.Answer phones and email inquiries.Actively manage customer transactions and resolve opportunities and address concerns.Support facility operations by partnering with local Community Hub leadership to ensure community spaces are clean at all times and record maintenance issues for resolution.Anticipate individuals' needs in order to accommodate them and provide an exceptional customer experience.Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock, as needed.RequirementsAt least 18 years of age.Earned high school diploma or GED.Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and/or holidays, as needed.Top-notch verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Bilingual, English/Spanish highly preferred.Child Abuse Prevention
- Support the YMCA’s commitment to child abuse prevention by:Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members, or guests to your supervisor.Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children.Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor.Completing all child abuse prevention training as required.Qualifications
