JOB TITLE:Assistant Director of Graphic Design
JOB PURPOSE:Wyoming Athletics is hiring an Assistant Director of Graphic Design to join the Marketing team. The successful candidate must be team-oriented, self-motivated, creative, and possess strong organizational skills. The primary responsibilities for this position are to assist in the design of all creative assets, help manage incoming graphic requests, and ensure that brand guidelines are adhered to consistently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Takes assigned projects from creative conception to final deliverables.Designs a wide range of creative assets including, but not limited to, posters, program covers, game tickets, magnets, event logos, web/email/social graphics, etc.Assists with recruiting templates for individual sport programs.Thinks creatively to develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts.Maintains thorough knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.Assists with other duties/projects as assigned/directed.Maintains a project management system, supervises undergraduate interns, and other duties as assigned.
This position reports to the Director of Graphic Design.
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in applicable field1 year experience in graphic designValid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:2+ years’ experience in collegiate or professional sports graphic designProficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and After EffectsSupervisory experience, including the ability to foster leadership and teamwork amongst othersExcellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to influence and build working relationships among diverse individualsStrong attention to detail with ability to create and maintain very specific timelines.
