JOB TITLE:Assistant Director of Admissions - Campus Visits & Events
JOB PURPOSE:Run the day-to-day operations of the Admissions’ Campus Visitor Center; represent and give information about University admission to prospective students, their parents and transfer students; assist with planning, coordinating and managing admissions visitation events; mentor and develop student staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Meet with students and families as part of UW’s regular prospective student visit program.Effectively supervise, train and coordinate tour and office schedules for student ambassador staff.Process campus visit requests and work collaboratively with other campus departments, staff, and faculty in developing itineraries and scheduling appointments for visiting prospective students and their families.Maintain tracking of campus visit scheduling in CRM.Coordinate all aspects of the schedule for groups visiting campus, including campus tours, admissions information sessions, lunch, and activities with campus departments.Respond to general student email and phone inquiries.Participate in and assist with various on-campus recruiting events from the planning process through event day logistics and post-event evaluations.Utilize UW’s information system and CRM tool to develop and carry out a personalized and custom communication plan to prospective students who have visited campus to encourage student funnel progression.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:Serve on committees and assigned teams.Assist with advertising/marketing programs; assist in preparation of a variety of recruiting/admissions publications.Respond to general correspondence and assist with the preparation of newsletters for prospective students.Attend professional development workshops relating to admissions.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the United States, as sponsorship for work authorization or work visas is not available for this position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Bachelor’s degree
Experience:3 years work-related experience
Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements:Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Familiarity with university enrollment processes: admissions, financial aid, advisement, or transfer processes.Experience with maintaining accurate databases and data entry on university or business/student information systems.Strong attention to detail.Adaptability to prioritize tasks with interruptions.Experience with event planning and management.History of high caliber customer service in a fast-paced setting.Public speaking experience (planned and impromptu) in front of large and small audiences.Make effective decisions and think independently.Ability to work as a team member and foster a collaborative work environment.
