Mid-Level Employment Litigation Attorney
We are looking for a dedicated Mid-Level Employment Litigation Attorney to join our law firm in Sacramento, CA. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on significant California wage-hour class action claims and PAGA cases. Our firm, a leader in labor and employment law, offers a dynamic work environment with rapid progression to partnership roles, often within as little as two years. As an integral part of our legal team, you will take on responsibilities that include drafting and arguing motions, handling discovery, and leading depositions amid a variety of challenging litigation projects. Compensation:
$170,000.00 - $200,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings, managing the procedural timeline effectively.
Draft and argue motions in front of judicial bodies to further client interests.
Take and defend depositions, showcasing strong analytical and questioning skills.
Manage multiple litigation projects simultaneously in a demanding environment.
Work collaboratively and effectively with paralegals, partners, and peers.
Engage actively with clients, providing regular updates and strategic advice.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in employment litigation.
Strong academic credentials and demonstrated legal acumen.
Must be admitted to practice law in California.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent team collaboration skills.
Proficiency in legal research and the use of litigation software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with California wage-hour class actions and PAGA cases highly preferred.
A background in civil litigation or related fields.
Previous experience in a fast-paced law firm environment.
Demonstrated track record of successful case management.
Strong negotiation skills and experience.
Ability to mentor less experienced attorneys and support staff.
Skills:
Exceptional analytical and logical reasoning skills.
Superior written and oral communication abilities.
High level of organization and attention to detail.
Strong leadership skills with the capability to initiate and manage change.
Professionalism in client interactions and presentation.
