Thrive Counseling Program
– Utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) counseling sessions facilitated by graduate-level counseling interns or licensed clinicians within the school day. These sessions aim to assist students in navigating challenges such as hardships, trauma, fostering personal growth, and more.
Step-In After-school Program
– dedicated to empowering girls in 3rd-5th grade, strives to help them uncover their strengths, improve their overall well-being, and achieve their maximum potential. This is achieved through a structured six-step curriculum that emphasizes emotional and physical well-being, fosters healthy relationships, and encourages community engagement.
Position Summary: Mission for Advancement Director:
The Advancement Manager/Director will be responsible for sustaining & driving revenue growth by managing the organization's CRM, leading donor cultivation and stewardship efforts, building out a corporate sponsorship program, and fostering strong relationships with donors. The Advancement Manager/Director will identify, plan, and execute fundraising activities, focusing on new opportunities to secure sustained and increased support from corporations, public and private organizations, faith communities, and individual donors.
The designation of Director or Manager will be contingent on experience. Those at the Manager level will be tasked with the objective of progressing into the Director role within one year. The scope of the outlined tasks will remain consistent; however, the degree of oversight, responsibility and salary will vary based on job title and function.
Core Responsibilities and Duties:
Donor Database Management
Establish and implement a system to ensure the donor database, CharityProud, is consistently updated with high-quality information, including accurate contact details, minimal duplicate records, and well-maintained data.
Create a system and plan to fully utilize the CRM for donor prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship.
Ensure all donor touchpoints are updated weekly by staff members.
Conduct monthly checks to verify that the donor database is fully up to date and accurate.
Donor Stewardship Process
Lead Charleston Hope's donor stewardship process, including making improvements to better cultivate and steward all donors. This includes managing donor administrative tasks such as sending thank-you cards, making thank-you calls, assigning stewardship tasks to staff and board members, and ensuring these tasks are completed effectively.
Review, revise, and implement the donor stewardship process within the first 30-45 days of the role.
Ensure the Executive Director approves the process, and all stewardship activities are completed within 7 days of a donation.
Donor Relationship Management
Develop and maintain relationships with an assigned group of 10-15 donors, create solicitation strategies, and conduct solicitations or coordinate them with the Executive Director, staff, or Board of Directors as appropriate.
Develop an annual plan to cultivate and steward the assigned group of donors.
Provide a monthly report to the Executive Director on the status and progress of the plan.
Notify and involve the Executive Director in strategies to cultivate donors to the next giving tier.
Conduct at least one in-person meeting with each assigned donor.
Achieve the organization’s individual revenue goal.
New Donor Prospecting
Identify and introduce 2-4 new donor prospects each month and implement a donor cultivation strategy in partnership with the Executive Director, ensuring at least two new prospects are met with monthly by the Advancement Manager/Director, Executive Director, staff, or Board of Directors.
Hold approximately 2-4 new prospect meetings each month, resulting in a total of 24-36 prospect meetings per year.
Corporate Sponsorship Program
Develop and implement a corporate sponsorship program to diversify the organization's revenue streams. Establish a complete pipeline from prospecting to solicitation and stewardship, managing all sponsorships and ensuring incentives and benefits are delivered effectively.
Create and implement a Corporate Sponsor Program, including packets, prospect-to-stewardship pipeline, and incentives.
Ensure all corporate sponsorship stewardship activities and benefits are implemented according to plan.
Conduct at least one in-person meeting with a potential corporate sponsor each month.
Achieve the organization’s corporate sponsor revenue goal through the corporate sponsorship program.
Fundraising Initiatives
Lead Charleston Hope's fundraising initiatives by planning, creating, and executing all fundraising events and campaigns, including End-of-Year Giving, Match Hope, and Charleston Hope Heroes. Increase fundraising revenue through existing and new initiatives, collaborating with third parties to achieve goals.
Develop a written strategy for all annual events, including the sponsorship structure to meet goals.
Create clear ROI reports and improvement strategies for each event within one month of completion.
