Summary of Role
The Banquet Setup Manager is responsible for managing the daily operational execution of banquet events that deliver performance and guest service to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of ownership, the Sheraton Brand, guests and associates.
Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience.
Core Responsibilities:
Ensure banquet operations meet or exceed 4 Diamond and Sheraton Brand service standards
Provide strategic direction and support to the banquet setup team and support the overall banquet department as needed
Conduct opening and closing walk-throughs in all banquet areas, and maintain a strong presence on the floor pre, during and post events
Assist in the setup and breakdown of banquet functions as needed
Develop criteria to improve guest service across banquet operations
Attend daily events and meetings and communicate any variations with management and staff
Properly manage all administrative work with regard to interviewing, hiring, scheduling and payroll
Recruit, select, and retain a best-in-class operations team and build a strong associate culture
Maintain close control and inventory of supplies, and equipment
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with hotel policy and applicable laws
TIPS and Food Safety certifications are required
Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards
Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team
Adhere to attendance and reliability standards
Follow all additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Experience in banquets or food and beverage operations
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Enthusiasm, creativity and a progressive approach to hotel operations
Strong communication and employee relations skills
