Summary:
This position reports to the Head of Global Sales and will oversee 7-8 Regional Account Executives. The RSD is responsible for all activities related to the creation and implementation of regional business plans. They are responsible for hiring, training, coaching and developing RAEs. They will manage business results, sales activities, and cross-functional initiatives in their region and will make day-to-day decisions required to manage the region's activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Achievement of regional sales objectives
Will spend significant time in the field assessing needs, reviewing objectives, developing actions plans, coaching and performance management.
Recruiting/hiring and evaluation of talent for RAEs
Direct execution of sales strategies and tactics; implementation of sales and marketing plans
Participate in training and onboarding new hires and to ensure RAEs have product knowledge and applications to enhance and develop sales and business skills
Manage region's budgets ensuring return on investment spend
Maintain high level of product and market knowledge
Demonstrates personal agility; recognizes when to adjust style or approach to meet the situation; dedicates time and energy to self-development.
Meets expectations and deadlines for all projects and administrative tasks
Qualifications:
Degree in business, marketing, sciences or related field
8-10 years' experience in a relevant industry/commercial environment as a sales professional and sales manager
Knowledge of, and experience in, the Diagnostics/Genetics/Genomics industry strongly preferred
Experience within complex selling environments with payer reimbursement knowledge and ability to prioritize and align organizational goals and objectives with selling processes
Must live within the region they support
Must have a clean, valid Driver License and a vehicle to use for work on a daily basis
Ability to quickly learn technical and disease state information
Excels in a rapidly changing, competitive environment
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Ability to travel 40-60%, including possibly nights or weekends to attend conferences and meetings
