Senior Scientist, Virus-like Particle Subject Matter Expert
~ onsite in Rockville, MD ~
Key Responsibilities:
Lead VLP protein purification efforts, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
Design and execute purification protocols for recombinant proteins.
Supervise and mentor junior lab personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive research environment.
Adapt and implement new purification technologies and methodologies to enhance lab capabilities.
Essential Qualifications:
Must have VLP expertise.
PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related field.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor junior staff.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
Strong communication skills, capable of effectively presenting data and collaborating across teams.
Preferred Experience:
2-10+ years of experience after PhD.
Plasmid design and construction, and protein purification.
Familiarity with analytical methods for protein characterization.
Additional Points:
This is a full-time position.
Title and salary (including base plus annual bonus) are commensurate with experience.
Relocation is provided.
