Assume leadership for the Upward Bound/Upward Bound Math-Science projects, administration and supervision of the projects.Develop, execute, monitor and evaluate project objectives.Establish, monitor and administer budget funds on both grants.Collect tracking data and write annual reports.Recruit, select, train, supervise and evaluate all project staff.Assist in identifying, recruiting and selecting program participants.Establish procedures to maintain the student and administrative record system.Review SPEARs for participants in conjunction with the Coordinators.Provide leadership for effective parental and community involvement.Travel monthly throughout the target area for project management meetings.Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, Science, Mathematics, Public Administration, or related field.Experience working with diverse youth populations.Experience using budget software to collect data and write reports.Knowledge of student development theories related to retention and graduation of at-risk high school students.Clear understanding of Montana post-secondary educational systems and procedures.3 years responsibility in supervision and program management in higher education.Experience in designating, managing, and implementing TRIO or similar programs.Experience delivering academic support services to first-generation, low-income students.Experience managing federal grant monies in accordance with federal guidelines.Excellent supervisory, oral, and written communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in STEM field preferred.TRIO Pre-College program experience.Training and experience with writing federal grants.Overcome barriers similar to those of program participants.Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.Demonstrated ability to network with university departments and collaborate across programs.Willingness to work extended hours during peak event times, as well as, annual performance reporting and proposal writing seasons.Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 20-50 pounds.Ability to ride on a bus or drive a vehicle for extended trips.For full consideration application materials must be complete.
