Established in 1996, IGN Entertainment is headquartered in Los Angeles with content localized in 20 languages and 110 countries and hosted on websites and native applications on mobile, connected TV, and Xbox and PlayStation platforms.The Role:We’re looking for an experienced, business-minded, strategic senior corporate counsel. The ideal candidate should be an independent worker, diligent and proactive, have the ability to work on a wide range of commercial agreements in a fast-paced environment, have strong attention to detail, demonstrate excellent legal and business judgment, be able to interface effectively with business teams, and work within a cross-functional and international business environment.This is a full-time position reporting to a legal department sitting in NYC and CA. The position is structured to be remote, with flexibility to work out of a company office if desired.Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

Primary responsibility is to negotiate and/or draft a wide variety of commercial agreements including revenue generating agreements and vendor agreements.Prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.Develop and maintain expert and current knowledge on new developments and legal guidance relevant to our businesses, services and technology.Build critical relationships with sales and legal colleagues and key collaborators to effectively provide practical legal and strategic advice to assist the business in meeting its objectives.Advise on recommended courses of action and legal risks. Ability to judge when to advance identified issues as may be necessary.Drive and contribute to other interesting legal projects as needed.Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as drafting and negotiation skills.Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal clients.Sound and practical business judgment including flexibility, creativity and good judgment in managing legal risks.Background in intellectual property and the gaming industry a plus along with experience managing junior counsel and a paralegal team.Required Skills and Qualifications:

JD from an accredited law school.State bar membership in good standing.4-6 years of experience as a practicing attorney in a law firm and a comparable in-house legal department.We ask for all applicants to please include a cover letter outlining their interest in the role.Work Environment:Work Schedule:

Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base pay for this position ranges from $165,000 to $175,000. Company benefits include a 401K with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, and a flexible time off policy.
