Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino, owned and operated by the Spokane Tribe of Indians, is expanding and searching for a Director of Finance to lead our casino finance, accounting, cage, count, revenue, and compliance operations during this exciting period of growth. With the recent opening of our new hotel, this is a prime opportunity for a seasoned casino finance professional to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment.
Position Summary:
Responsible for all financial and accounting functions at Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino. Your role will involve strategic planning, team management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory casino gaming standards while optimizing revenue objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead casino finance and accounting team to achieve operational excellence.
Establish departmental standards and guidelines to drive efficiency and profitability.
Monitor financial performance and develop strategies for growth and sustainability.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Communicate financial results and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's Degree or CPA/CMA preferred.
Seven years of progressive leadership experience in casino accounting/finance, with at least two years in a senior leadership role.
Proficiency in gaming industry software and compliance with regulatory standards.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities:
Obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Implement and maintain effective systems for regulatory compliance and reporting.
