The SFA Operational Risk Team works with management to effectively handle operational risk.Your Impact:

Primary responsibilities include collaboration with internal partners across the three lines (SFA, ERM & IA) and externally with FHFA to manage critical SFA operational risk and issue management efforts.Periodically contribute to the design, development and implementation of major operational risk programs, policies and proceduresIdentify, analyze, document, report and monitor operational risk/loss events including root cause analysisAdvise, assist, influence, challenge risk owners and business partners on the “status quo”Perform issue oversight including evaluating issue remediation activities such as action plans, review of deliverables and monitoring/tracking remediation statusAssist in the preparation and delivery of risk reports to managementEnsure business process owners comply with operational risk management framework/programsFoster a strong risk culture across the SFA organization through training and awareness programsStay updated on regulatory (FHFA) policy changes and ensure the organization’s operational risk management practices are compliant, while assisting in regulatory examinations and internal audits as neededProficient with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) /Risk Management Tools such as BWiseQualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of overall experience4+ years of operational risk management and/or strong internal audit experiencePrior risk management experience ideally in the financial services industry (preferably in mortgage finance)Relationship Management skills including influencing others, facilitating meetings, engaging partners, building relationship networks, and resolving conflictProblem-solving, critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to ask insightful questionsRelevant professional certifications (CPA, CIA, Six Sigma, etc.) are a plus!Keys to Success in this Role:

site.This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $126,000 - $190,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
