Financial Analysts utilize a wide array of tools and data to perform analysis to identify drivers and trends that impact the near and long term trajectory of our division. Associates have the resources and space to drive significant change across the team and organization.You’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in four key areas:Customer Focus

Annual Budget, Monthly Financial Forecast and the Long-Term Financial PlanPrepare monthly, quarterly and annual Reporting and Analysis

- understand all of the data that is key to your business line and how to analyze it

Develop financial models and analyses to support growth of the business and strategic initiativesAnalyze complex financial information and reports to support accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposesMonitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance

Responsibilities:Main finance partner for the Auto Finance CTOAttract, manage, coach, and develop junior analystsCreate connections across the team and organization to drive collaborationOwnership of budget and forecast accuracy for areas of responsibilityLeverage sound business judgment to evaluate analytical results and formulate recommendationsAccurately analyze & explain key cost drivers and annual financial trajectoryProvide strategic insights and suggest actions to business and finance partnersBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or military experienceAt least 7 years of experience in financial analysis & modeling, business analytics, consulting, or a combinationAt least 3 years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) functionPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative major (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering) or military experienceMasters Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Accounting, Finance, or Economics Certified Treasury Professional or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Certified Finance Manager (CFM) certificationAt least 7 years of experience in financial analysis and financial modelingAt least 3 years of experience using SQL, Python, or a combinationAt least 7 years of experience using Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or a combinationAt least 5 years experience in financial services, banking or technology industriesAt least 3 years experience partnering with senior leaders and internal stakeholdersAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.Capital One offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well-being.
