We would love to have you join our team!Competitive PayCareer DevelopmentCompetitive Benefits & 401kValues: Integrity, Teamplay, 1% Better Each DayThe Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through the preparation of the Company’s financial reports and statements, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. The Staff Accountant also ensures to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). An outstanding Staff Accountant should also have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.RESPONSIBILITIES

The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to this class.Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the General Ledger accounting system and from departments.Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data.Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; converting data to the general ledger system; obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements.Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.Works on special projects for the CFO.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.2+ years of accounting experience.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Working knowledge of GAAP.Strong numeracy and analytical skills.Highly organized and detail-oriented.Good problem-solving and time management skills.
