Position Summary:
The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) will lead the delivery of the HR strategy for assigned departments within the service, aligning HR initiatives with organizational objectives. This role emphasizes employee relations (ER), industrial relations (IR), and workforce planning in a unionized, acute hospital environment. The HRBP will serve as a trusted advisor for both staff and management, acting as a role model in implementing values across all HR practices and initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Strategic HR Leadership : Drive the HR strategy in line with business objectives, aligning workforce planning and employee relations to support strategic priorities.Stakeholder Engagement : Serve as the main HR point of contact for staff and management, offering guidance on HR policy, regulatory requirements, and conflict resolution in a unionized healthcare setting.Project Management : Lead and contribute to department-specific HR projects, ensuring they align with core values and operational needs.Employee and Industrial Relations : Manage ER and IR concerns, facilitating positive outcomes that promote a fair, respectful work environment.Policy and Compliance : Oversee the implementation of HSE Circulars, policies, and contracts (such as the POCC 2023) while ensuring departmental adherence to internal standards through audits and compliance initiatives.Change Management Support : Provide strategic HR support during organizational changes, including headcount planning, grievances, training needs assessments, and employee engagement initiatives.Mentorship and Leadership : Act as a mentor and role model within the HR team, fostering a collaborative, values-driven approach to HR and Medical HR initiatives.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree (Level 8) in HR, Business, Coaching, Management, or Law.5+ years of experience in HR at a Business Partner/People Leadership level, ideally within a hospital or public sector.Expertise in ER with IR experience preferred; qualifications in Employment Law are advantageous.Demonstrated experience in supporting multiple stakeholders and balancing routine HR responsibilities with high-level projects.If you are interested, please apply with your most recent CV ASAP
