The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is seeking an HR Generalist or Senior HR Generalist to provide support, knowledge, and expertise to the Human Resources division. CMAP is a mission-driven agency serving the 284 municipalities and 7 counties of northeastern Illinois as the region’s comprehensive planning organization.The ideal candidate will have worked for two plus years with employees or in a human resources capacity administering policies and programs. Specifically, CMAP is looking for someone who can:Effectively utilize CMAP’s HRIS system and Share Point technology.Respond to data requests by running reports, configuring data tables, and preparing reports.Effectively facilitate recruitment functions including scheduling candidate interviews, hiring, pre-onboarding, employee orientation, and benefit enrollment.Conduct and coordinate new hire orientation.Manage a robust annual intern and fellowship process.Candidates interested in working in this critical space who have refined organizational and critical thinking skills should apply!Position requirements for HR Generalist, Hiring Range $69,769.35-$85,467.39Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.At least two years’ work experience working with employees, administering policies/programs, or serving in an employee facing role.Experience with HRIS systems and data analytics strongly preferred.Position requirements for Senior HR Generalist, Hiring Range $77,087.78 - $98,286.78Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.At least five years work experience working in human resources, with employees, administering policies/programs.SHRM-CP or SHRM SCP credentials preferred as well as experience with HRIS systems and data analytics strongly preferred.
