Position Overview:

The HR Generalist will report to the Director of Human Resources and serve as a liaison between management and employees to support the day-to-day human resource operations. The HR Generalist role carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: HRIS data management, employee training, orientation and onboarding, policy implementation and delivery, employee experience, data and record-management, and other various HR and organizational related tasks. The incumbent in this role will also support design, implementation and rollout of key initiatives that continuously improve the employee experience at Medexus. The Medexus HR team is supported administratively by the Human Resources Coordinator and Office Administrator.Position Responsibilities

Work with the HR team and US Leadership Team (USLT) to ensure a unified company vision is maintained for all company related matters aligned with the Medexus Mission, Vision, and Values.Support the Director, Human Resources in execution the organization’s human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.Provide ongoing HR support for all HR activities, including the staffing, coaching, discipline, onboarding, and offboarding of employees; Guidance on performance management and improvement; Talent development and effectiveness; Compensation and benefits, HR systems, employee relations and more; And ensure sound execution of administrative processes.Provide support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.Appropriately challenge, influence and coach management on human resource decisions and actions.Oversees the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; Supports the annual compensation benchmarking analysis to ensure Medexus attracts and retains top talent. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Support organization-wide initiatives such as continuous Learning and Development, DE&I, and elevating the Medexus employee experience in partnership with the Culture Advisory Board (CAB). Help design and implement a differentiated Medexus onboarding experience for new hires.Partner with managers to create learning and development programs that provide internal development opportunities for employees.Administer and maximize the Insperity employee portal utilization as the company HRIS for payroll, benefits, performance management, reporting, training, and health and wellness resources.Work with the CAB and HR Coordinator to create, administer, and/or manage programs related to employee health and wellness, providing education on resources & tools for physical, emotional, and financial health.Provide support for employee relations matters where appropriate.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; Review company policies and practices to maintain compliance.Oversee new hire onboarding and offboarding processes in partnership with the HR Coordinator.Assist with payroll and benefits administration.Build and maintain organizational charts as required.Help administer leaves of absence including FMLA, Work Comp, Personal Leaves, and Disability.Support administration of the company’s Affirmative Action Plan and compliance through annual reporting.Provide HR data and analysis support for internal & external audits as required, including financial audits such as SOX compliance.Update and maintain HR SOPs in partnership with the HR Coordinator.Coordinate employee events and promote positive company culture to enhance employee work environment.Partner with the HR Coordinator to jointly administer Medexus employee recognition programs.Assist with all other tasks and/or special projects as required.Professional Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, organizational psychology or a business discipline.Minimum of 4-7 years human resources generalist experience.Human Resources certification highly preferred (PHR or SHRM-CP).Technologically savvy and quick learner.Strong working knowledge of state & federal regulations, payroll and compliance, health insurance, wellness benefits, recruitment, HR systems & processes, HR policies & procedures, and all aspects of the talent management life cycle.PEO experience is a plus.Must be a collaborative team player.Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.Strong consensus building, conflict resolution and consultative skills.Strong interpersonal and written, verbal and presentation communication skills, with the ability to develop a high degree of personal credibility.A creative problem solver with a can-do approach and the ability to develop and implement effective alternatives to current programs.Experience supporting complex human resources issues in a high growth, fast paced environment.Knowledge of federal and multi-state employment and benefit laws.
