The Billing Specialist is responsible for managing the Firm’s processes and systems related to time-keeping, billing, retainer replenishment, accepting payments, collections of accounts receivables, and accounts payable.This is a hybrid position that requires one day per week in our downtown Santa Monica office.In order to apply for this position, please email (i) a cover letter describing your qualifications and (ii) your resume to careers@minxlaw.com . Please note we will only review candidates who comply with these submission requirements.ResponsibilitiesGenerate and manage edits to prebills, ensuring strict adherence to the Firm’s billing guidelinesConduct thorough reviews of all prebills to identify and resolve issuesProactively communicate with billing team to ensure adherence with client budgetsPost bills on timeCommunicate with clients and billing team regarding delinquent paymentsMaintain the Firm’s strong relationship with clients by promptly addressing all billing inquiriesManage the Firm’s outgoing paymentsProcess payments in accordance with the Firm’s policies and schedulesManage trust accounts, auto-replenishment, and installment paymentsOversee collections effortsReconcile advanced client costs to case management systemQualifications
Minimum of
5 years of experience
of relevant experience in professional servicesKnowledge of basic accounting principlesAdvanced knowledge of: Clio, Excel, QuickbooksExceptional organizational skillsCompensation
