Position description:
American Guardian Warranty Services, Inc. (AGWS), an affiliate of Reynolds and Reynolds, is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our growing team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with the insurance accounting function and the day-to-day accounting operations, while being in accordance with GAAP and statutory accounting principles. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the monthly and year-end close process, preparing account reconciliations, and analyzing financial records for accuracy. You will also conduct technical accounting research for complex transactions. Additional projects will be assigned as necessary.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business-related fieldCPA preferred3-5 years of relevant experienceExperience with insurance accounting requiredStrong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)Benefits:We strive to offer an environment that provides our associates with the right balance between work and family.
