This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in financial management, process improvement, and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with a demonstrated track record of successfully leading and optimizing transaction heavy areas.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvement within areas of responsibility.Implement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.Utilize data analysis and technology solutions to drive continuous improvement and automation.Leadership and Team Management:Provide strategic direction and leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.Mentor and develop team members, empowering them to achieve their full potential and contribute to organizational goals.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to align financial objectives with overall business objectives.Payroll Management:Oversee all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency.Collaborate with HR and other departments to address payroll-related issues and implement best practices.Sales Audit:Lead the sales audit team in conducting regular audits of sales transactions, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.Develop and implement audit procedures to identify discrepancies, errors, and fraudulent activities.Work closely with sales and operations teams to investigate variances and implement corrective actions as necessary.Cash Control:Manage cash flow and liquidity by overseeing cash handling procedures and bank reconciliations.Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent unauthorized transactions.Monitor and analyze cash transactions to optimize cash management strategies and minimize risks.Accounts Payable:Direct the merchandise and expense payables functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.Evaluate existing workflows and controls with the objective of enhancing processes and optimizing cash flow.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.CPA or CMA certification highly desirable.Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.Proven track record of success in process improvement and change management, preferably within a high-transaction volume environment.Strong understanding of financial systems, processes, and regulations.Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, coaching, and development.
