JOB SUMMARY:The Senior Portfolio Manager anticipates, creates and leads the vision and strategy for delivering a portfolio of future products and services within an entire patient care ecosystem. This role focuses on delivering strategic initiatives, customer value and profitable growth through continuous delivery of differentiated solutions that improve experiences between patients and caregivers.As the Senior Portfolio Manager, you will champion a comprehensive enterprise view of technologies, products and services. Driven by strategy, customer research, data and an empathy for patients and care providers, you will engage with senior leadership to set the vision and lead dynamic cross-functional teams to deliver high customer value and desired business results in a modern development environment.ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:Lead the development of portfolio strategies and solution roadmaps for an entire portfolio of products and services within a patient care ecosystem.Drive teams for results in a team-centric environment and celebrate wins.Manage direct reports and mentor other teammates.Embrace new business models, methodologies, processes and act as a change agent within the organization.Upstream marketing lead for development and execution of divisional strategic plan.Manage development of annual research learning plan for entire portfolio.Engage in all forms of customer research and customer value confirmation (qualitative, quantitative, primary, secondary, online surveys, in-depth interviews, focus groups, pricing analysis, conjoint analysis, jobs-to-be done, etc.).Participate in observational research within clinical settings to develop clinical insight.Provide central oversight and management for evaluation and final disposition for concepts, ideas and suggestions for new products and services from research, trade shows, customers, competition, channel partners and key opinion leaders for patient care ecosystem.Synthesize, analyze, and translate research information across product platforms within a patient care ecosystem and recommend through business case presentations new solution opportunities that align and support portfolio strategy.Work with a broad team of development resources including industrial design, engineering, user experience specialists and program manager to define and validate concepts that satisfy unmet customer needs.Drive voice of customer and portfolio differentiation through various phases of development cycle.Partner with finance on new projects to develop financial models to assess profitability and return-on-investment.Collaborate with product development or agile scrum teams to balance tradeoffs between customer needs, scope, technical risks, product cost, resources and development timelines.Partner with corporate development to assess potential acquisitions or partnerships and participate on due diligence and integration teams.Partner with Human Resources to recruit and build team.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field.Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management.Minimum of 3 years of experience directly managing teammates.Minimum of 3 years of experience working within stage-gate or lean-agile product development framework.COMPETENCY/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:Effective in owning and developing a product portfolio strategy and roadmap.Experience in leading and managing high-performance teams.Highly skilled in conducting customer research to identify unmet needs and translating insights into strategic opportunities for value creation and differentiation.Highly skilled in analyzing and cascading customer, technical and business requirements to deliver strategic initiatives.Be a strong voice of the customer for entire portfolio of solutions within a patient care ecosystem.Phenomenal communication and presentation abilities with senior management and leadership.Ability to collaborate across the organization and motivate cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple products and shifting priorities through effective planning, prioritization, communication, delegation and coordination across multiple teams.Driven to consistently meet or exceed project objectives, commitments and milestones.Talent to develop business cases and financial models to secure project funding.Strong technical aptitude and marketing acumen.Influential in leading direct reports, peers and coaching up to management.Ability to anticipate emotional reactions of customers and teammates.Medical device marketing background and clinical insight are desirable.Cloud-based solution experience is desirable.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:You will have direct reports and lead cross-functional teams.About Us
