BBC is seeking a Director of Data Solutions to oversee our efforts in developing, executing, and evolving audience data capabilities, services and products that provide our key advertising partners with cross-platform data targeting strategies. This role will aim to establish BBC's advertising data targeting capabilities for the US market, working with internal BBC departments to align and identify new/needed data resources, technologies, and collection and analytics methods to meet client objectives and market needs.The Director will provide consultative and strategic guidance to advertising partners on how to best leverage BBC's data capabilities (and DMP usage) to meet their business and marketing objectives. This role will be expected to develop and maintain relationships with data, media and marketing teams across both clients and agencies in partnership with BBC's sales representatives to support sales and revenue growth.The role will partner closely internally with Sales, Partner Solutions, branded content studio, audience insights, media planning teams to provide solutions contributing to go-to-market strategies and client pitch presentations. Additionally, you will partner with business areas such as Product, AdTech and other data teams to drive innovation in the use of audience data and help build addressable advertising data solutions alongside segment development/maintenance.Success in this role requires a demonstrated ability to collaborate with and gain buy-in from a variety of stakeholders, ability to translate complex and technical data marketing concepts into compelling and concise value propositions, a passion for solving client business challenges, and a broad and deep knowledge of omni-channel advertising.This role reports to the Vice President of Ad Sales Marketing.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Leverage data and audience insights via BBC's DMP to identify and target the right audiences and create customized, integrated campaigns.Drive revenue growth through identifying and utilizing BBC data and audience solutions to support client objectives; build them into proactive and reactive pitches, strategy development and optimization/measurement plans in partnership with Sales, Partner Solutions, StoryWorks (BBC's internal creative studio), Product Marketing and Ad Tech and Operations teams.Partner closely with Sales to understand market and customer needs and establish BBC's commercial data capabilities as the best solution to achieve client marketing and business needs.Build and maintain a network of agency and brand-side data leads to help build strategic partnerships across the advertising ecosystem.Analyze data and provide insights to sales and marketing teams to inform decision-making, execution and renewal strategy.Develop strategic relationships with key cross-functional leaders to support identification and development of new revenue-driving audience-data capabilities.Develop process/approach by which we are consistently providing real-time program insights, addressing learning objectives and improving the effectiveness of advertising partnerships both on an organizational and account level.Understand and consistently and concisely articulate the key use cases for BBC data in service of advertising revenue growth.Qualifications5+ years of digital experience with a focus on data - data-driven thinking, excellent quantitative skills.Previous experience in developing data solutions at a publisher, marketer or tech platform.Knowledge of related applications, relational database, advertising platforms (DMPs/CDPs/ESPs), and web technology (onboarding, 3P data tools, etc.) as well as Google Platforms (GAM, etc.).Familiarity with analytic and visualization technologies a plus (e.g. Tableau, Permutive, 1P Data Lakes).Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data management standard processes.Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in a matrixed environment.Compensation and BenefitsThe anticipated annual base salary for this position is $110,000 to $130,000. This range does not include bonus compensation or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and geographic location of the position. This range is not inclusive of a competitive bonus, flexible, hybrid working schedule & benefits including but not limited to: 100% BBCS covered medical & dental insurance, vision, & 401k match.Hybrid:
