Our trusted team of engineers excel in deploying value stream management, short-cycle feedback loops, infrastructure on-demand, and secure, disciplined pipelines to our customers.About the roleThe Cybersecurity Engineer we hire for this role will work to identify and mitigate cybersecurity vulnerabilities for a ground system for a new United States Space Force (USSF) satellite constellation. This person will work with the program's engineering team to architect, develop and sell-off products to a government customer. Work will include configuration development, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance and testing, and delivery of a secure environment for Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) mission operations. Ideally, this candidate has experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF). We consider experience with OPIR missions to be a significant bonus for this role.What you'll doKey responsibilities for the Cybersecurity Engineer include:Develop Cyber Plans and Procedures for an environment that consists of, amongst other technologies, Juniper network devices, Red Hat Linux, Red Hat Identity Manager, IBM AIX, iSCSI Storage, VSAN, ESXi, AND VMWare.Work with Systems Engineers to develop solutions that manage cybersecurity risks within systems.Perform cybersecurity scans, analyze results and harden systems.Manage RMF artifacts and generate documentation required to achieve approval to operate systems.Interface with the customer, leveraging strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.Required QualificationsMust hold DoD Secret Clearance, at minimum.Minimum of five (5) years of experience in CyberSecurity Engineering.Experience with cyber tools, including ACAS and HBSS.Strong understanding of Cybersecurity frameworks and standards.Experience running DISA SCAP Scan and working with DISA STIGs for operating systems, network devices, and other infrastructure related services (LDAP, AD, ESXi, Virtual Machines).Ability to work with system and security SMEs to harden and mitigate identified cyber vulnerabilities.Experience with incident response and management.Ability to communicate technical information via oral presentation and written format.Willingness to work on site 4-5 days per week.Preferred/Bonus QualificationsStrong focus on internal and external customer success.Possess CompTIA Security+ and CISSP or similar certifications.Cybersecurity engineering experience with embedded systems development for DoD.Understanding of networking fundamentals, programming languages, and operating systems.Familiar with Risk Management Framework (RMF).Understanding of ethical hacking and penetration.Experience working within an agile workflow.Experience with Jira and Confluence.Experience with Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR).Expected Salary RangeDepending on experience and skillset, most candidates will earn between $125,000 and $180,000 per year.BenefitsGenerous PTO for vacation, personal, or sick days.Eight (8) paid holidays per year plus 2 additional Floating Holidays per year (taken at Employee's discretion).Flex time and the ability to create your own schedule.Family leave for significant life events.Parental leave for new parents.Discretionary bi-annual bonus plan, based on individual and company performance.Healthcare coverage plan through a Qualified Small Employer Health Reimbursement Arrangement (QSEHRA).Access to a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA).401K retirement plan with immediately vested company contributions, no matching required.Paid training and conference attendance.Phone plan reimbursement.Centil is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
