Job Summary:The Director of Sales reports directly to the Corporate Director of Revenue & Sales and is responsible for driving revenue through effective sales strategies, managing relationships with clients, and promoting our hotel’s unique offerings to maximize occupancy, rate, market share and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy Development:

Create and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets, focusing on all segments.

Market Analysis:

Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and local businesses to drive repeat business and referrals.

Budget Management:

Review and adjust strategies to meet hotel budgets; manage the sales department budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and monitoring expenses.

Revenue Management:

Work with Revenue Manager & General Manager to set pricing strategies and promotional offers. Monitor occupancy and revenue performance, adjusting strategies as needed.

Sales Reporting:

Analyze sales data and performance metrics; prepare weekly sales reports; prepare and execute sales action plans.

Event Participation:

Represent hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance visibility and promote the property.

Marketing:

Develop marketing initiatives to promote the hotel through digital platforms, social media, and local partnerships.

Collaboration:

Work closely with revenue management and operations to ensure cohesive strategies that enhance overall hotel performance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years industry sales experience.

Hilton experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of hotel sales and marketing principles, as well as revenue management strategies.

Proven history of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions.

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
