Eaton’s North American OEM Sales team is seeking a Southeast Regional Sales Director to join the team. This position can be based out of any of the following locations: Raleigh, NC; Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; Nashville, TN; Orlando, FL. Relocation benefits are available for this role. This position requires up to 50% of travel.Position Overview:The Regional Sales Director will manage the activities of the Southeast region toward achieving sales, profit and growth goals while continually improving quality and customer service levels within the group. You will be responsible for the strategic management of regional sales resources to achieve sales/orders, market share, price, product mix, and financial metrics established by product divisions, operating divisions, and Sales Leadership.The Southeast Regional Sales Director will be responsible for defining, leading, and managing comprehensive sales initiatives & programs affecting the organization and its key stakeholders (customers, distributors, partners, employees, and trade and business media). You will work effectively with customers and Channel Partners while maintaining relationships with the key decision makers.Key Responsibilities:Acts as a sales and marketing agent in conjunction with sales and operations management to ensure top line sales objectives are met. Responsible for providing strategy to identify and develop prospective new customers, keep current on trends and significant issues providing direction for the strategic planning process, ensure the region maintains effective relationships with and service to customers.Reviews monthly forecasts with accuracy to ensure the region meets these numbers on a monthly basis. Oversees efficient execution / ability to execute to sales quotes, cost control, leveraging subcontractors, managing receivables, and turn of backlog and projects.Ensures an effective and skilled staff through recruiting, assessment of talent, training & development, goal setting, communications, performance appraisal, and conformance to applicable company policies and standards. Provides leadership and direction to ensure professional growth for employees and retention within the region.Maintains budgetary responsibility for the territory. Manages sales teams throughout assigned region to ensure the effective allocation of company resources and assets.Advises senior management of customer and competitive developments that impact sales growth and profitability and recommends strategies and decision options to counteract market pressures.Works closely with product divisions to implement strategies focused on the geographic, customer, industry, and market needs.Qualifications:Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution requiredMinimum 12 years of progressive sales or marketing experience with an emphasis on electrical industry requiredMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.Must possess a valid and unrestricted driver’s licensePreferred Qualifications:Direct sales experience in the electrical industry preferredIn-depth knowledge of the data center sales process including products, application, and complex channels of distributionExperience in an indirect sales model with manufacture reps and distributionBachelor’s degree required with a preference for technical degreesSkills:Strong management of people skills, talent selection and recruitment, demonstrated ability to manage conflict and leadership skills requiredProviding developing opportunities for employeesStrong interpersonal skillsStrong team player that actively contributes to the group’s successExcellent written and oral communication skills in addition to strong organizational skillsProven organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and balance workloadAt Eaton, we strive to provide compensation and benefits that attract, engage, and retain the best talent. The expected annual salary range for this role is $152,884.62 - $224,230.78 a year.
