The Role: Suffolk is looking for a Planning (Scheduling) Analytics Manager with expertise in CPM scheduling, construction planning, data analytics, P6 administration, and corporate reporting. The ideal candidate is a visionary with extensive experience in planning and is a subject matter expert in project scheduling, with a passion for applying cutting-edge technologies. Specifically, this role involves leading the transformation of project scheduling through AI integration. This strategic position is perfect for someone who has a knack for seeing solutions in planning data and the business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities, managing multi-million-dollar projects across sectors such as commercial, higher education, K-12 schools, healthcare, life science, and data center construction. The Planning Analytics Manager collaborates with the planning, operations excellence, data analytics, and IT departments to support and implement high-quality, data-driven processes and tools. He/she will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by creating optimal processes and tools using historical data and planning trends. The role also involves deriving key findings from the planning data and leveraging these insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes. Responsibilities: The Planning Analytics Manager's responsibilities encompass three primary goals- Oversee a portfolio of 100+ projects and predict schedule risks. Implement scheduling best practices and ensure compliance with Suffolks SOP. Advance technology & data by implementing cutting-edge tools to improve scheduling processes. Planning: Manage a small team of Planning Analysts and support planners ensuring the quality of their schedule product. Consolidate and finalize the monthly schedule status report for all active projects, ensuring accurate reflection of schedule variances and explanations in dashboards for KPIs and performance measurements. Conduct internal draft baseline reviews for projects over $5 million to ensure compliance with Suffolk SOP and identify schedule risks. Present findings to field operations. Analyze all projects in the portfolio using planning functional metrics, tripwires, schedule quality, historical data, dashboards, and tech tools to predict schedule risks throughout the lifecycle. Conduct Deep Dive schedule analysis on at-risk projects using historical data and analytics, and present findings to regional leadership and corporate executives. Deploy external tech tools such as SmartPM, Acumen Fuse, Graphic schedule for schedule analysis and reporting. Manages P6 Administration for over one hundred users. As a Subject matter expert (SME) in P6, train and coach users on advanced P6 tricks and tips. Data Analytics: Enhance tech tools and planning dashboards such as Planning Placemat, Quick Schedule, Focus App and Regional Summary to visually represent findings and insights. Utilize historical data and predictive analytics to enhance the accuracy of project planning and forecasting. Drive the integration of AI technologies into scheduling practices, collaborating with the data science team to pioneer industry-leading applications. Facilitate the integration of scheduling systems with advanced cost estimating platforms, ensuring superior project control and financial management. Champion innovative scheduling techniques and technologies that push the boundaries of traditional project management. Oversee P6 data governance to ensure data cleanliness for reporting and integration. Evaluate and identify the best technology tools available in the market to improve business processes. Pilot, implement, and train users on new tools to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications: A minimum of 10 years of experience in project scheduling with a proven record in managing large-scale projects. 10+ years of P6 experience. A Subject matter expert (SME) who understands cost, and resource loading, administration, dataflow, and architecture, Highly proficient using Schedule analytical tools such as SmartPM, Steel ray and/or Acumen Fuse. Leading and mentoring junior team members. Active Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) from AACEI or able to obtain within 6 months of hire. Experience in Data analytical and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, PowerApps is a plus. Deep understanding of cost control methods, particularly in the domains of commercial and residential real estate, and healthcare construction. Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, capable of conducting in-depth schedule analyses. Strong leadership and collaboration abilities, with experience working effectively alongside data science teams and other stakeholders to achieve technological integration and innovation Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing.
