The Emerging Business Team in the CTO Office at Analog Devices supports the vision of building novel billion-dollar businesses for Analog Devices! Our mission is to empower Analog Devices by pioneering breakthrough technology. The projects we work on span several exciting domains including green energy, healthcare, artificial intelligence, human-machine interfaces, advanced sensors and more.

We're seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Emerging Business Manager (EBM) to join our team. This role will be to shape strategic program development across our energy sector programs, and particularly to guide the business development around our programs in electrification and grid modernization. We're looking for applicants with strong experience in the electrical grid industry, and experience with developing businesses around smart grid sensors and grid software will be especially valuable. The ideal candidate would also have knowledge of related green energy industries such as renewables, carbon capture, clean energy production, nuclear, biofuels, electric power generation and distribution, and energy equipment and services.

For this high-impact role, the ideal candidate has a dynamic, open, and strategic approach to understanding the emerging needs that will create meaningful change to the energy sector. They're an enterprise leader, working cross-organizationally and enthusiastically to enable the transformation to a cleaner world through breakthrough technologies. The successful candidate will guide all aspects of the program, including leading market research, performing customer discovery, collaborating with technologists and product development teams, attending conferences, and creating innovative business models. They're passionate about building products and obsess about customer needs to deliver real impact and value.

The Key Responsibilities for this role include:

Develop and implement strategies for energy programs that align with our organizational goals.Develop market strategies and business plans for our early-stage programs in the electrification and grid modernization sectors.Identify emerging technology trends that will drive breakthrough innovation as well as competitive advantage across the energy sector.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, business leaders and technologists, to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, universities, and industry experts, to gather insights that inform strategic decisions.Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of energy related programs.Provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.Qualifications:

MBA or equivalent professional experience with 15+ years industry experience in the energy sector with strategic roles7+ years with market development and product deployment in the distribution grid sectorA deep understanding of what it takes to deploy hardware and software solutions onto the grid, including, ideally, an understanding of regulatory requirements.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically, and particularly the ability to engage with technology teams to define product strategy while building new businesses.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, passionate about collaboration and teamwork.Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire to drive a culture of innovation and excellence.Bachelor's degree in electrical / power engineering required; with advanced degree preferred
