The Distribution Driver works as part of the delivery team to ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct location in a timely manner.Parallel is one of the largest multi-state cannabis companies in the world, owning and operating in three markets; Florida (Surterra Wellness), Massachusetts (NETA), and Texas (Surterra Wellness). Operating commercial cargo vans in a safe and proper mannerLoading, transporting, and delivering items to stores and distribution centers in a safe and timely mannerReviewing and completing transport manifests before and after distributing items to delivery locationsLoading and unloading of cargo from vehicles, including properly securing cargo to prevent damage or accidentsTrack, account for, and maintain reporting on all items or cargo being transportedMaintain, clean, and report any safety or maintenance issues for assigned vehiclesAdhering to assigned routes, following schedules, and abiding by all transportation laws while maintaining a safe driving recordPreparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries, transportation, and distributionEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOULL BRING
RequiredAge 21 or overHigh School Diploma or equivalentValid Government-Issued Photo IDValid drivers license and clean driving recordAbility to drive for long periods of time and in heavy trafficStrong time management and coworker relationship skillsAttention to detailSome computer/technology skillsPreferredExperience in the Cannabis IndustryPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to remain in a seated position inside the vehicle for extended periodsAbility to pick up heavy items to load (50 or more lbs.) onto vehicleAbility to sit and stand for long periods of timesAbility to bend in repetitive motionAble to move heavy totes, boxes, and other cargo in and out of vehicles and move into buildingsFrequently communicates accurately with other employeesYOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IF YOU
