The Financial Service Division *within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a * Payroll/Time Accounting Manager (WMS Band 1) position. This position is located * in our * Headquarters Office in * * Lacey, WA. {rel="nofollow"} Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.
In this role, you will manage and administer all aspects of agency support related to processing payroll and associated taxes, employee benefits (including health and retirement), and the distribution of salary and benefit funds and FTE's across more than 3,400 account codes. You will also be responsible for accurate recording and reconciliation of employee leave. The scope of this position encompasses the entire agency, with influences both within and outside of state government. A sophisticated application of advanced management principles and skills will be essential for your success in this role, given the nature of management.

*Telework options for this position: * This position will have flexibility of a hybrid schedule, empowering work from home and office, providing less time in traffic and shrinking your carbon footprint. This position will be eligible for up to an 80% telework schedule, with the expectation of working in the office at least one day per week.
