The Water Quality Program *within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a * Construction Stormwater Inspector (Environmental Specialist 4) position. This position is located in our Eastern Region Office (ERO) in Spokane, WA {rel="nofollow"}. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

Join our team leading water quality environmental permitting in the Eastern Region of Washington state! In this role, you will collaborate with facility owners and contractors on applying for permit coverage. You will also track important permit records, review submittals for compliance with environmental rules and laws, conduct regular inspections, and manage responses to environmental incidents reported by the public. The Eastern Region Office is located in Spokane, Washington and offers flexible work schedules and a dynamic, collaborative group of employees committed to protecting Washington's surface and groundwaters. Spokane is located 92 miles from the Canadian border and is neighbors with Idaho. We are located near mountains and forests with many streams and lakes within a short drive. *Telework options for this position: * This position will have flexibility of a hybrid schedule, empowering work from home and office, providing less time in traffic and shrinking your carbon footprint. Initially, this position will be required to work in the office for onboarding and training. After the first two months of employment, it will then be eligible for up to an 80% telework schedule with the expectation of working in the office at least one day per week.
