About the OpportunityOur client, a leading company in the real estate industry, is seeking a Project Accountant to join their growing team. This position will primarily focus on development accounting for ongoing and new projects.
Salary Range:
$75,000 - $95,000Note: The salary range is an estimate and may vary depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Review, verify, and enter invoices into the system, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with company policies. Prepare and process timely payments to vendors via checks, wire transfers, and electronic funds transfers, while managing vendor relationships and resolving discrepancies.Ensure month end accounting and financial statement preparation are complete for all assigned properties and are GAAP compliant.Work with project leaders to record and reconcile all construction activities.Research and answer questions about job cost activity and construction account expenses.Prepare monthly loan draw requests and reporting including lien waivers, bank financing forms, and reviewing contractor pay applications.Contribute to ad hoc projects and data analysis as needed.Qualifications:
Bachelor`s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for experience in real estate, construction, or development accounting.Strong MS computer skills and familiarity with ERP systems.Proven ability to manage multiple accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.
