About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a
Senior Accounting Consultant
to support the accounting operations for contracted R&D services within a biotech environment. The role involves ensuring accurate month-end close and expense recognition, while collaborating with project managers to verify and challenge underlying assumptions. Duration:
6+ months Location:
5 days onsite in
San Diego, CA Compensation:
$45-$60/hr Please note this range is an estimate, and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience. Scope: Manage accounting for contracted R&D services, including month-end close and expense recognition. Oversee relevant GL activities and maintain appropriate balance sheet accounts. Collaborate with project managers to review and validate financial inputs. Qualifications & Expertise: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. 4+ years’ experience with GL and month-end close. Pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience is highly desirable, with a focus on R&D accounting preferred. Proven experience in managing fixed assets, prepaid assets, or deferred revenue schedules. CPA preferred. Strong analytical and communication skills to effectively navigate complex accounting scenarios.
