Become a Category Manager team member supporting Direct Services Procurement at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll be leading and developing high impact sourcing strategies for the energy infrastructure of tomorrow supporting Direct Services Procurement.You will lead/participate in Terms & Conditions negotiations, competitive solicitation, supplier selection, and achievement of applicable Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

Responsibilities

Reviews and negotiates company-wide commercial agreements for various procurementsIdentifies, drives, and implements suitable procurement approaches to deliver lowest energy cost, designs, and cost savings strategies across the departmentNegotiates contracts and reviews opportunities to reduce costs using negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methodsUnderstands and applies business tools (financial, logistical, commercial, risk, cost analysis, etc.) to attain desired resultsIdentifies and executes energy purchasing opportunities through progressive purchasing contracts or long-term fixed dealsEnsures that corporate procurement policy and procedure is being followedConducts category management in accordance with the overall procurement strategy, processes and procedures and ensures category management delivers against targets and objectivesIdentifies continuous improvement opportunities, assessing current and future business processes for best work practice, as well as innovative procurement solutions that provide cashable savings and process efficiencies for the organizationA material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.Minimum Qualifications

Seven or more years of experience in supply chain, procurement, and/or contract management.Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.Five or more years of experience negotiating contracts and/or manageing the Request For Proposal (RFP) process.Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.Experience with sourcing construction and professional servicesAbility to present recommendations and other communications regularly to all levels of the organization. Experience with Ariba and SAP.Excellent oral and written communication skills, including oral presentations, formal correspondence and contractual documentation, group facilitation, and negotiations.Additional Information

This position's work mode is

hybrid.

The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
