Amazon seeks an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to play a role on our Device Logistics Finance Team supporting the Forward and Reverse Logistics organization and Device Finance team, as well supporting the expansion of Project Kuiper.

This role can be based in Amazon offices in: Sunnyvale, CA; Seattle, WA; Arlington, VA; or New York, NY.

Key job responsibilities

Partner directly with our Device Finance team to drive visibility and sound decision making in the areas of device logistic planning and forecasting.

Partner with Program Managers and Device Finance team to ensure Business Strategy is translated and reflected in Operational and Financial results.

Partner with Global and Regional Accounting teams over various aspects of accounting month-end close, variance analysis, and financial reporting processes.

Maintain and develop financial models for Logistics cost estimates to support Devices and Kuiper product launch decisions, scenario analysis, and other ad hoc requests.

Attend core team meetings and serve as primary Finance point of contact for all Logistics forecasts

Explore opportunities for automation.

A day in the life

This role requires an intellectually curious individual who can frame situations through multiple lenses. They are a self-starter with a keen attention to detail and an ability to set clear priorities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have shown success in influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon including international entities and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

MBA, or CPA

Knowledge of Tableau

Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
