With direction / instructions from Plant Dispatcher or Plant Supervisor, a Recycling Non CDLTruck Driver is required to, but not limited to, safely operate box truck/electric pallet jack (to load / unload truck) to service Recycling Facility suppliers. Operate safely and professionally according to guild lines from WestRock policy.
How you will impact WestRock:
Perform pre/post trip inspections on all equipment.
Communicates any safety or mechanical issues to management.
Maintain accurate records and logs
Responsible for proper loading and securing of freight to prevent movement and allow for safe transportation.
Able to load / unload as needed
Communicates and works through Dispatch to safely service Plant Suppliers.
Works with plant supervisors when needed to set up loading and unloading assignments
Works in a manner of continuous improvement by giving feedback related to safety, operation of equipment
Able to learn and identify grades of recyclable materials.
Wears the appropriate, designated personal protective equipment (PPE) and personal clothing as specified by the facility.
Must be able to learn and adhere to all safety, operational and environment rules and procedures of plant WestRock Company.
Keep the interior and exterior of cab clean
Activate Samsara tracking during routes
What you need to succeed:
Class D Drivers License
Must be able to pull weighted cans up to 200 lbs
Able to work overtime and weekends if needed.
Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
Knowledge of recycling or waste industry a plus.
