Below are some the critical requirements for this title:Proficient in MS Office- Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPointAble to transcribe data in various different database systemsAble to analyze data, prepare data reportsAssist with basic technical support issuesBachelor's Degree is a mustThe requested Administrative Staff Specialist will assist in the implementation of the DHS drug testing program, review and evaluate criminal history record information (CHRI), review and assess documents relating to CHRI, prepare and disseminate notification and documents citing statutory requirements relating to CHRI finding for applicants, and in the implementation and tracking of the child abuse registry information (CARI) checks.

The Administrative Staff Specialist will review databases to ensure compliance with established statutes, field calls, respond to general inquiries and provide customer service to stakeholders. The Administrative Staff Specialist will also assist the DHS Office of Licensing to prepare compliance reports in advance of agency inspections reporting those agency employees who were fingerprinted, those who have been disqualified, CARI checks completed, drug tests completed, random drug tests completed, archives requested and Central Registry compliance.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities include:

Collect and enter data into various data bases.Responds to inquiries regarding program activitiesTo review, evaluate, and interpret criminal history record information.To determine fitness for employment according to statutory regulations.To review and assess legal and non-legal documents to determine qualification or disqualification of employment.Work with applicant's resolve missing dispositions.To prepare and disseminate according to statutory requirements, notifications and documents relating to criminal history record information (CHRI) findings.To provide investigative services relating to CHRI, working closely with local, state and federal entities.Provide technical assistance to provider agencies for inquiries regarding CHRI policies and procedures.Prepare program resources as needed.Assist in preparing and organizing required program reports, files or records.Interact with customers and stakeholders regarding basic questions or direction.Assist in preparing for program audits.Prepares letters and correspondence.Assist in the planning, coordination, implementation of program initiativesAssisting in coordination of all ECCU entities.Assist in training new staff.Utilize unit data bases.Participate in unit meetings.Special projects as assigned.
