Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler
Job Description
The ideal candidate will be able to quickly understand our engineering, manufacturing, and quality processes. You will assemble cables, integrated test adapters, and equipment racks, as well as perform continuity and isolation tests of your own work as well as that of your peers. You will be expected to review and understand internal or customer-provided documentation (schematics, mechanical assembly drawings, block diagrams, bills of materials), and be able to complete assembly using this documentation.
Responsibilities
Assemble cables, integrated test adapters, and equipment racks.
Perform continuity and isolation tests on your own work and that of your peers.
Review and understand internal or customer-provided documentation such as schematics, mechanical assembly drawings, block diagrams, and bills of materials.
Complete assembly tasks using provided documentation.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of direct experience.
Applicable technical school training.
Experience in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and bills of materials.
Ability to perform basic continuity and isolation tests on cables and chassis using a DMM.
Experience in point-to-point chassis wiring, cable assembly, SMT/Thru-Hole/Wire-wrap circuit card assembly, and chassis/rack/system mechanical assembly.
Experience with soldering and the use of hand tools such as wire strippers and crimpers.
Ability to communicate clearly through written and verbal means.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
IPC-610-A, IPC-620-A, or J-Std certification.
Experience in splicing and terminating optical fibers.
Understanding of ESD safety practices.
Simple fabrication/machining ability (able to use sheet metal tools and milling machine).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

A 9-hour schedule is required, with work from Monday to Friday and every other Friday off. You will work 44 hours one week and 36 the next. Unlimited overtime is offered. The role offers a variety of tasks, so you will not be working on the same thing repeatedly, and you will be offered different job functions based on your skill set.
