Position Specific Description
Candidate traits / role requirements:
Manage preparation of partnership compliance efficiently. The organization is a fast-paced environment that is transaction or deal heavy with the need to adapt quickly to evolving circumstances.
Understanding of ASC 740 Tax Provision.
Perform tax research, analysis and planning to meet organization objectives.
Review business transactions to identify tax implications and advise recommendations.
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to earn credibility and work collaboratively across functions including Accounting, Treasury, Financial Reporting, Tax Operations, Tax Planning and Tax Forecast.
Solution oriented and collaborative - able to quickly identify and propose solutions.
Ability to demonstrate and articulate an understanding of complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
Experience using complex financial models.
Manage business processes and projects, set priority and measurable objectives, monitor and report on progress.
Assist with process and technology improvement initiatives.
Enhance the organization's capabilities through effective team building, staffing, coaching, mentoring, and training.
Ideal candidate:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or related field: Master's Degree in Taxation and/or CPA.
Minimum 5 years of progressive tax experience
Strong understanding of depreciation. Including but not limited to short year, placed in service, conventions, ADS lives, allocation of depreciation.
Experience with multi tiered partnership structures.
Good understanding of partnership special allocations.
Analytical, solutions-focused mindset with the proven ability to work independently and collaborate cross functionally.
Proficiency with software and system applications (OneSource Tax Provision, CorpTax, Microsoft Office 365) and ability to learn internal applications.
Prior experience in the energy, power, real estate, or infrastructure space is a plus

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Manages tax related projects, including system maintenance and/or development
Prepares and/or reviews tax returns and corresponding tax work papers and files
Researches law, regulations, administrative rulings and court cases and presents proposals to lawfully minimize tax liability
Researches and drafts responses to inquiries from government agencies regarding tax filings, and other claims
Provides and/or verifies tax assumptions and tax results in project models
Leads project teams to improve quality, efficiency, predictability and/or transparency
Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Experience: 6+ years
