Position Specific Description

Job Overview

Employees in this position will manage data analysts, data scientists, and finance experts in the performance of financial analyses, ISC operations analyses, financial forecasting, operations forecasting, business / operational risk assessments, and supply chain analyses. The manager will guide and support the team in developing techniques, tools, algorithms, strategies, and processes to perform the above tasking. Furthermore, the Manager of Risk and Analytics will work with ISC leadership to develop the Risk and Analytics team, helping to define its scope, interfacing with business unit partners to establish and foster collaboration, and establishing analytics best practices and best-in-class data analytics tools and practices.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Manages ISC risk and analytics collaborations and relationships with NEE financial, budgeting, and forecasting departments

Manages ISC risk and procurement analytics relationships with ISC business unit partners

Provides procurement analytics, operational assessment, and risk analysis services to ISC business unit partners, other departments, and internal ISC procurement teams and agents

Supports ISC agents with analyses and assessments to optimize negotiation and procurement activities and operations

Ensures that models, analytical tools, simulations, and data engines are maintained, current, and accurate with respect to ISC and external partner data

Collaborates with senior ISC leadership on analytics innovations and the development of advanced analytics and risk assessment methods and tools

Contributes thought leadership leveraging modern and leading-edge analytics, algorithms, forecasting, and modeling approaches, technologies, and research to mature ISC analytics and risk assessment capabilities

Develops and delivers presentations for senior ECSC and business unit leadership

Partners with ISC IT, data team, governance teams, and leadership to maintain and provide quality assurance of ISC data, digital tools, and business processes

Oversees, prepares, and assures sensitive data and information for external disclosure as required

Oversees development, drafts, prepares, and maintains specified ISC reporting, assessment deliverables, and analytics dashboard output

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications

Master’s Degree in engineering, data science, physics, computer science, economics, finance, or other related technical field

10+ years experience

Experience managing technical or analytics teams

Job Overview

Employees in this position manage analysts in the performance of the financial forecasting and analysis efforts. Individuals develop strategies, processes, and policies for financial forecasting and oversee the budgeting efforts of one or more subsidiaries, group roll-ups, and or corporate functions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Manages relationships with the budgeting and forecasting departments

Ensures that forecasting models are current and incorporate the required accurate data

Works with senior leadership on the formulation, execution, and communication of corporate strategies and financing plans based on financial forecast analysis

Supports other business units or departments in analyses as requested including Merger and Acquisition analyses

Develops presentations for Finance Committee and Rating Agency meetings as required

Prepares sensitive data and information for external disclosure

Performs other job-related duties as assigned
