We offer medical detox as well as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military service members in our North Stonington location. Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, and is conveniently located across the street from The Inn at Trails Corner, a new 180 bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and women who attend our outpatient day treatment programs. The Inn offers overnight accommodations, full-meal service, indoor/outdoor recreation options, a workout room, and computer center for all clients. The Dietitian will provide nutrition screening review, assessment, treatment planning (including coordination of individualized menu planning where indicated) and delivery, and training and education in nutrition therapy for staff and clients.Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Review Nutrition Screening Information, and where indicated, conduct full Nutrition Assessment on clients admitted to Stonington Institute within 72 hours of request.Develop curriculum for and conduct weekly nutrition education groups for clients in the PHP/IOP program.Assist and coordinate with Director of Dietary Services in the development and periodic review of food services, to include menu oversight and planning.In conjunction with other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team, plan and implement individualized care plans for clients in the PHP/IOP and Residential Programs.Works with treatment team to develop a discharge plan that addresses nutritional issues as indicated.Works with Director of Nursing to develop education components of program based on community needs.This is a part-time (24 hrs/week) position. Registered Dietitian with a minimum Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics/Nutrition and 3 years' experience in the clinical dietetics/nutritional therapy field.
